We are currently seeking an IT Manager who will be responsible for the management of day-to-day IT issues, and the delivery of IT solutions to meet business objectives and ongoing operations. The IT Manager will also manage and develop the talents of the IT Support staff. This professional will demonstrate patience, a customer-friendly attitude, and the ability to communicate with all levels of staff, contributing to a positive and productive work environment. Each member of our IT team works collaboratively and understands the importance of their role in maintaining a successful, growing, and profitable firm.
This is a hybrid position, requiring a minimum of 3 days per week onsite at our Pleasanton, CA office.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Demonstrate leadership in contributing to a positive atmosphere, within IT Team and with all staff.
- Manage and develop the talents of the IT Support staff by providing regular performance feedback, opportunities for development, and encouraging growth.
- Provide initial assessment of IT issues and actively manage all day-to-day IT related activities, taking a proactive "hands on" approach to provide the best internal customer service in a timely manner.
- Oversee IT technical support services, including the management of a ticketing system or other IT-specific tracking system.
- Coordinate with other teams in order to understand and meet their requirements.
- Maintain renewals and monitor usage of software.
- Manage and monitor security systems.
- Monitor expenditures and maintain acceptable financial controls.
- Proactively participate in weekly Operations Team meetings to effectively communicate IT information and receive feedback to keep both teams fully informed, collaborate with other members of the Operations Team, and follow up on previous meeting action plans and results for the benefit of the Company.
- Advise the Managing Director of IT & Facilities with special projects as directed, including the definition and communication of IT project milestones, scope of work, resource allocation, and the preparation of the IT budget.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, including tact & diplomacy; ability to persuade and concede appropriately.
- Ability to learn new technologies very quickly; ability to act as “change agent” for driving process and continuous improvements within an organization.
- Ability to complete multiple tasks under pressure without direct supervision and deliver high quality results.
- Experience with virtual and static server administration with Hyper-V.
- Setting up and working with Active Directory and Azure.
- Managing Windows Server.
- Installing and manage SQL Server.
- Experience managing network security and MFA with an emphasis on automation and A.I.
- Background in Windows Server Administration.
- Strong understanding of DNS, IP, Networking.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- 5+ years of IT Management experience
- Broad technology experience with an emphasis in Design Technology within the AEC industry preferred.
- Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States without any restrictions or visa sponsorship.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires visual acuity and manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment. The employee must be able to sit or stand at a desk for a full shift and lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
We offer a competitive compensation package based on experience and qualifications. Excellent benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage. We also offer the opportunity to participate in a pre-tax Flexible Spending plan, Employee Stock Ownership Plan, and 401k.
Salary range: $72,000 to $81,000 depending on qualifications. Placement within this pay range will be determined by factors such as education, qualifications, project complexity and/or experience. The maximum is reserved for candidates who currently meet all job requirements.
