At DAHLIN, luxury residential design is part of our founding DNA. We are seeking an ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN DIRECTOR – Luxury Residential to help shape the future. This is a unique opportunity for a visionary, client-focused designer ready to step into a leadership role and build something meaningful.

This is a hybrid position that requires onsite presence at one of our company locations, as well as travel to other company sites.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Lead the design of luxury homes with a deep understanding of client vision, site, topography, and regional character.
• Create and champion high-quality design solutions from concept through completion, blending innovation with real-world constructability.
• Guide and inspire a growing team, overseeing visualization, deliverables, and design execution.
• Design to varying possibilities while maintaining design excellence across all price points.
• Actively share your luxury design expertise and collaborate with stakeholders to drive successful business development and project outcomes.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• The ability to communicate compellingly, think visually, and design exceptional luxury homes that thoughtfully respond to regional context and character.
• Proven leadership that is intuitive and adaptable, with a talent for thriving in collaborative environments and a motivation to build strong teams and a distinguished body of work.
• A keen eye for uncovering a site's unique attributes and thoughtfully leveraging them to craft a seamless, enriching experience both inside and out for its residents.
• Strong ability to work with and mentor staff and guide projects through all phases of design and delivery for a luxury home

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

• 12+ years of relevant experience including leading a team
• Degree in Architecture, Environmental Design, Interior Design or a related field. Licensure preferred.
• Commitment to their own professional growth
• Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States without any restrictions. Please note that visa sponsorship is not offered for this position.

We offer a competitive compensation package based on experience and qualifications. Excellent benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage. We also offer the opportunity to participate in a pre-tax Flexible Spending plan, Employee Stock Ownership Plan, and 401k.

Salary range: $130,000 - $150,000 depending on qualifications. Placement within this pay range will be determined by factors such as education, qualifications, project complexity and/or experience. The maximum is reserved for candidates who currently meet all job requirements.
