Are you a technically skilled, design driven architect looking to take the next step in your career? DAHLIN is seeking a fully licensed Architect / Project Manager to join the Commercial team in Pleasanton, CA. This experienced professional is a fully competent architect in all conventional aspects of architecture, responsible for specific technical design aspects of an assigned major project, or several small projects, including investigation, evaluation and recommendation of design solutions that best meets the client’s needs.
This is a hybrid position, requiring a minimum of 3 days per week onsite at our Pleasanton, CA office.

Salary range: $90,000 - $110,000 depending on qualifications. Placement within this pay range will be determined by factors such as education, qualifications, project complexity and/or experience. The maximum is reserved for candidates who currently meet all job requirements. This is a hybrid position, requiring a minimum of 3 days per week onsite at our Pleasanton, CA office.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Independently perform a wide range of assignments encompassing all conventional aspects of architectural design, applying advanced concepts to projects of moderate size and complexity.
- Conduct design, planning, and occupancy analyses and develop design layouts.
- Prepare project specifications by compiling, coordinating and analyzing relevant data.
- Provide professional architecture services from Schematic Design through building permit submittal and Construction Administration.
- Direct, coordinate and oversee the production of project design, construction documents and/or construction administration.
- Monitor project budgets and maintain accurate and thorough project documentation.
- Review drawings and designs to ensure compliance with established standards and specifications.
- Provide technical guidance to less experienced staff, including redlining and reviewing others’ work.
- Maintain ongoing communication with clients and outside consultants.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Substantial experience developing details and providing technical and design support through Design Development for commercial projects.
- Strong knowledge of applicable codes with demonstrated awareness of code limitations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaborative skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, coordinating effectively and maintaining positive working relationships with technical staff, outside consultants, and clients.
- Able to provide clear, effective leadership and direction to architectural staff.
- Demonstrated proficiency in SketchUp modeling, AutoCAD, and Revit/BIM.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- Licensed & registered Architect in the state of CA
- 5+ years of project management experience
- Completion of Bachelor’s in Architecture or Master’s in Architecture from an NAAB accredited program.
- Commitment to their own professional growth
- Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States without any restrictions. Please note that visa sponsorship is not offered for this position.
